Two eukaryotes on an island
Wished to grow some slime on the floor
To do so they had to supply the
Atmosphere and the wind with their spores
Of the same species they were members
Though neither one of them had met
Fungal love in the turf and the shower drain
In the gym locker with your sweat

Fungal love, they're both deadbeat dads
Just poppin' out babies
Fungal love its growin' like mad
Eatin' it makes you crazy

As both organisms were fungal
They could both reproduce alone
Nonetheless, in the Tropic of Cancer,
Together, they formed a zygote
And thus the two fungal romancers
Colonized an abandoned trash bin
Though neither had a brain
They both spread their domain
To my toenails and under my skin

They're completely devoid of emotion
Reproduce where it's moist and warm
They have essentially no devotion
As they are all lower life forms
But combinin' hyphae with cell fusion
Is no match for medicated cream
I've brought an end to their evolution
And I think that I can hear them scream...
