So I chose to try to write some,
Keyboard-hovered were my hands.
I think my things were specious;
I was drunk then, man.

I been spielin' for three years,
Blowin' the pace and rhyme.
I was gambling there'd be cheers
When I posted the first time.

Got a "Spell"in' bee in my bonnet. . .

"Poetic license" I use
When my researching is lean.
I'm weak in facts and knowledge,
A Wikipedia fan.
I think I passed in college?
I was drunk then, man.

I been spielin' for three years,
Postin' a waste of rhyme.
I was gambling on no jeers
Even though my poems weren't prime.

I've stretched it max, the punning
And I've stretched syntax and rhyme.
My tropes often aren't awfully good--
Then's retch-induction time.
After all stinkers I've done, I mean
To plow on, that's my plan.
I will not stint; I'm ruthless
When I'm drunken, man.

I been spillin' for three years,
Stowin' away the wine.
When I've grabbed the last of the beers,
I'll move on to turpentine.
