The Lyrics

My simon and garfunkel parodies seem to be doing pretty well so i tried another one. I hope i'm not the only one who remembers the amelia bedelia books
Amelia, they're figures of speech
Your literal-mindedness slays me
Oh, Amelia, I'm not really dead
Now what's in your head? Someone home?

Amelia, they're figures of speech
Your literal-mindedness slays me
Oh, Amelia, I'm not really dead
Now what's in your head? Someone home?
No one's home

Went for lunch in the afternoon, told Amelia
She should dust the room
Later on, to my disgust
Every breath that I took
Was a breath filled with dust

Amelia, they're figures of speech
Your literal-mindedness slays me
Oh, Amelia, I'm not really dead
Now what's in your head? Someone home?
No one's home

English language
She don't understand
I say hit the road and she slapping

English language
She don't understand
I say hit the road and she's slapping

Yes! Anyone with a second grade education (and that's most of us) should get this song. I say write more verses! Good job, Tone!

Yeah, those books were riots! I had no idea a song could be made of them from this one.

God, you are all so annoyingly young - waaaaah! :-D I didn't have a clue, but I got the point so 5-5-5 from me. Now whatever happened to Alice & Jerry and Tom, Betty & Susan....? ;-)

HAHA! This is one of the funniest parodies in a long time. I hope to continue to see more work of this quality. Keep it up!
