The Lyrics

A song about David Seville.
Dave
Dave Seville
Dave was shy
Dave was weak
Dave is so mean,he's bad
Dave is crappy,he's mad

Dave
Dave Seville
Screaming "Alvin!"
To stop his stupid song
He worries that it's not good enough
Then no one else can hear
Dave
Dave Seville

La la la la la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la
La la la la la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la

Dave
Dave Seville
Dave was shy
Dave was weak
Dave is so mean,he's bad
Dave is crappy,he's mad

Dave
Dave Seville
Screaming "Alvin!"
To stop his stupid song
He worries that it's not good enough
Then no one else can hear
Dave

Most of the rhymes in the original are gone here, though the new lyrics still fit the melody. Unfortunately, those new lyrics seem like nothing but a mean-spirited attack on the character and his show: 4-2-3 from me (and I never leave a vote uncommented, if comments are authorized!)

Ingeborg, you must understand that TSB writes from a place that no one else in the universe has been to, nor will ever reach. He (i am only guessing that it is a he) is the Salvador Dali of amiright, confounding the norms of pace, rhyme, and even humor with his spaced-out paeans to Dave Seville, Doris Roberts, and Sesame Street Muppets. He is un-voteable, he is unshakeable, he is--Tokousu Sentai Blessranger.

Oh, this is parody of the song "Sing!" Oh wow, I listen to this song all the time! In fact, it's my favorite song! After hearing it a million times, I still never get tired of it! The la la la part of the song is indescribably unique and defines this...this...musical masterpiece as one the greatest, most well-known, timeless songs in the world...NOT!!! C'mon..."Sing?" Who's heard of it? The least you could've done was the Sesame Street theme since that is easily recognizable, but instead you chose "Sing." I've never heard of it, but then again, I have a life that I don't waste sitting around watching PBS looking for cheap little songs to parody... excuse me, I'm going to set up my TiVo to record Sesame Street everyday until I hear "Sing" so I can better understand this so-called parody...
