stings like a knife when I’ve learned:
Grifting, he got me with his con,
Hell is my rolled life with this scourge…
grifting me wrongly with his con.

Though jerk, he ran a good con;
he worked it with great style.
My dough changed hands, went to him.
I’m pissed and do not smile.
Got stung by words he deployed;
he baited me with lies.

Dumb was I to heed his fibbing;
it was painful, but I’ve learned:
Grifting me wrongly with his con,
Well now I know he’s a scourge…

I once was flush, but thieving
was what made me a clown.
I was a lout abettor.
Now what I do is frown.
He preyed; I was a victim…
treated me as a pawn.

Succumbed, I, to all his grifting;

Lifted my money with his con,

My bank now more will know me,
’cause I’ve got nothing there.
He was a crook, and dolt me
was trapped inside his snare.
Experience was stinging…
