The Lyrics

Billy Florio wrote this great parody that posted on August 30th. He forgot to tell you all that he was playing Monopoly with me. http://www.amiright.com/parody/70s/abba33.shtml
Indiana haunts me, No I just can't land here.
Billy's waitin' for me, He's got hotels built there.
Wish I had Park Place, Boardwalk too.

It's too bad it's deeded; buying he did.
Roll with all my might and hope I can get around you.
And I'd be gold if only I could pass through.
I know you saw me coming.
My those hotels look stunning.

Indiana haunts me, No I just can't land here.
Billy's waitin' for me, He's got hotels built there.
Wish I had Park Place, Boardwalk too.

It hurts to see me losin my income.
I really hate to see my winnings decline when I land,
On the red, your smiling face and your outstretched hand.
These reds belong to Billy.
Let me land on chance by Kentucky.

Indiana haunts me, No I just can't land here.
Billy's waitin' for me, He's got hotels built there.
Wish I had Park Place, Boardwalk too.

I hope my race car finds its way through you.
Forgive me if I just go and drive right through and grind my gears.
I made it through so I can just allay my fears
Where did that chance card send me?
Good Lord, Boardwalk, thats bankruptcy.

Indiana missed me, glad I got on through here.
Chance card sending me to Boardwalk with hotels there.
That's the end it's true, I'm so through.

I hope your luck in Monopoly improves the same way your parodies have. Very funny.

Merry: Your all-time FAVE? I always hated this song. Great parody though, Guy. And Billy, I don't think I commented but I thought yours was quite good (And Take A Chance On Me always was my favoritest Abba song)

Go to fives. Go directly to fives. Do not pass Go, do not post 200 parodies...wait, you already did. Great job on one of those serious-but-cheesy songs of the 1965-72 period.

Claude: Hey, what can I say....I was 10... it had violence and pathos all wrapped in one. And it was sold out at every place I tried to buy it for months... Pach: Cheesy is GOOD.

"Cheesy is good"? That clears up part of the mystery about Merry: Merry is from Wisconsin!

Sorry there Guy. I've had a little problem with my eyes too. Better, now since I increased the font size on my PC.

This year is Monopoly's 70th Anniversary! (Parker Brothers patented the game in 1935.)
