"Sports People"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Just in time for the Stuporbowl.
Sports people got long seasons
Sports people got team teasin'
Sports people got dumb reasons
To cheer

They got wavin' flags
Painted chests
In the bars
Arguin' who's best
At the big arenas
Spendin' too much bread
Cheerin' till they're hoarse
With an alcoholic head

Well, I don't want no sports people
No tennis courts people
Halftime reports people
Round here

Sports people are just insane
It's just a game
(and most often lame)
Most jocks have muscle
And abuse the fame
(It's all media hype)

They got steriod bulgin' legs
They jump and run
You gotta pay 'em big
To have schoolyard fun
They got fancy cars
That ain't cheap, cheap, cheap
They got big old pockets
That are deep, deep, deep
They got football clutchin' fingers
Stand at the three-point line
Get out of the way, it's winnin' time

Well, I don't want no sports people
No tennis courts people
Athletic sorts, people
Round here

You summed up my feelings about English football and tennis just right!

Yup, we're up, Rick - thanks for getting a plug up on Amiright! I voted on this parody earlier - good job as always, 5's

Rick D - OH OH, sorry to inform you that you have just advanced to the "Super Bowl". You have to perform this live at half-time with R. Kelly and act like you like him, then get out of the stadium alive after dissing all those sports fanatics. Take these "Fives" with you for luck. I USED to be into sports quite a bit, although I tried to be objective about the home teams (In L.A. Vin Scully, Chick Hearn, and some others were announcing voices promoting tolerance of other teams all those years). Not too much interest these days.
