The Lyrics

Big 7 Submission #4. If Queen had done Fish Heads by Barns and Barns.
This is the reel life
Me and my fishing pole
Landed a big one,
Brief escape from reality
Look of surprise
Mouth opening wide for air
I’ll take him home, boy, fry him for dinner then
It’s time to clean the bones, throw the fins
Toss the tail, now the head
Go to throw the head out, something in its eyes seems to speak, to me

Fish head, although you’re dead
Still you got a hold on me
With a fierce tenacity
Fish head, just this morning, son
You were happy, laughing in your fish head way
Fish head ooo
Didn’t see the day go by
It’s ev’ning and you’re floating in the soup
Or a stew, I can’t tell, though it really doesn’t matter.

Fish head, I named you Fred
I swore upon my life
Vowed to make of you, my wife
Fish head, what’s your answer, I’ve got to know
Gotta know before too long your answer, true
Fish head ooo (only hear the wind blow)
Please don’t make me cry
Will you not answer ‘cause you can’t talk at all

I saw a movie, had a glimmer of a plan
Get him in, get him in, will I have to pay full price
Thunderbolt and Lightfoot very, very old movie
(Rolly polly) Rolly polly
(Rolly polly) Rolly polly
Rolly polly fish head Ho!
Magnifico
I’m just a poor boy, please don’t make me pay
He’s just a poor boy very low on his money
Spare him this fate and let the fish head in

Got him in, got him in; didn’t have to pay
I got him in and did not have to pay - got him in
We saw the; the early matinee - got him in
A fine show: It was enjoyable
Now it’s time to go
Watch the credits? No!
Bonus last scene, whoa! Oh! Oh! Oh!
Lights are on let’s go, go, go
Oh rolly polly, rolly polly, rolly polly fish head yum
I see a pub, let us duck inside and have a drink
Or three
On me

You can’t play baseball, wear sweaters, dance or play drums
Don’t drink cappuccino in Italian restaurants
Oh Fishy, you stink like a dead fishy
Just go and get out, just go and get right outta here

Ooh yeah, ooh yeah
Rolly polly fish head
Anyone can see
Rolly polly fish head – you were never really…for me

Rolly polly fish head…
yum

Very well handled, Onslaught. Having just wrestled with this I know how difficult it is to syllable-match, especially the 'Let him go' sequence, so 5 for technique. And kudos for the 'Thunderbolt and Lightfoot' sub. Personally I thought the fish-head motif wore a little thin, and rolly-polly didn't really do it for me, so 4-4 from me for the other categories.
