The Lyrics

I thought Homerian Rhapsody was gonna be about The Simpsons. I figured I'd do another Simpsons parody.
**Homer**
Is this my real life?
Is it just fantasy?
Yellow from outside
Could this be a reality?
Big, bulgy eyes
I look to the skies and see
Bart's just a poor boy, I have stupidity
Because I'm really dumb, I say "D'oh!"
Fingers: Five, never four
Any day my brain goes doesn't really matter to me
To me

Marge just killed a man
Put my gun to his big head
Pulled her trigger, now he's dead
Marge, the trial's just begun
But now she's gone and thrown her life away
Marge ooo
You made Bart and Maggie cry
If I'm not back again this time tomorrow
I'm at Moe's, I'm at Moe's
And the beer will fill my bladder

Too late, Moe's bar is closed
IQ's lower than nine
Acting stupid all the time
Goodbye, Mr. Smithers
I've got to go
Gotta leave Old Burns behind and face the Judge
Marge ooo (any day my brain goes)
Starving for some pie
You sometimes wish I'd never been born at all

(Guitar solo)

**Homer**
I see a little silhouetto of my wife

**The Jury, The Judge, and Chief Wiggum**
To the bench, tell the truth, will you tell us what happened?
You are so enlightening

**Homer**
You're really, really frightening me!! (AHHH!)

**Jury, Judge, Chief Wiggum**
Homer Simpson, Homer SImpson,
Homer Simpson, Homer Simpson
Homer Simpson, he says "D'oh!"
He says "D'oh!"

**Bart**
Dude, I'm just a poor boy and nobody loves me

**Jury, Judge, Chief Wiggum**
He's just a poor boy from a strange family
Spare Marge's life from this monstrosity

**Marge**
It was only Sideshow Bob, will you let me go?

**Judge, Jury, Chief Wiggum, and (Marge Simpson)**
Marge Simpson! No! We will not let you go-let him go (Let her go!)
Marge Simpson! We will not let you go (Let me go!)
Marge Simpson! We will not let you go (Let Me go!)
Will not let you go! (let me go)
Will not let you go! (let me go)
No,no,no,no,no,no,no

**Maggie**
Mama, Mama, Mama, Mama,

**Marge**
mama mia let me go
Springfield has a devil put aside for me
For me
For me

(Solo)

**Lisa**
So you think you can stone her and spit in her eyes
So you think you can slam her and sentence her to die
Oh jury can't do this to her, jury
Just gotta get her out
Just gotta get her right outta here

**Homer**
Nothing really matters
Deedle Deedle Dee
Nothing really matters
nothing really matters to me
(MMMM.......Ice Cream)

Any day the brain goes....

I loved it. Unfortunetly the pacing was just off, but i gave you a 3, 5, 5. Good job

I confess I thought "Homerian Rhapsody" was gonna be about the Simpsons too. This was pretty well done; for some reason I liked the "deedle deedle dee" part best.

I second Claude. I really hate reading simpsons parodies since i'm such a devout follower and they never live up to my expectations. This wasn't bad, but it was great. ho hum. deedle deedle dee was the only time i laughed.

Pacing 4. Bit off. funny 5, overall 5. It was what one would expect from a Simpson's parody.

The pacing was off yeah, but this was great. Not that funny, but this was great. Actually, I really have no idea why this was great, but i thought that it was. Good job.

I missed this first time around... thanks to anny's comment, I get the chance to read it - some lovely lines. It would have been kind of confusing (but rather funny) to have called this one "Homerian Rhapsody", too :-)
