The Lyrics

I finally did a Bohemian Rhapsody parody. Pretty fun! This is about Homestarrunner.comIf you haven't checked it out, I advise you do
Homestar
Are you a man?
Go catch the Yellow Dellow
You are one weird fellow

Homestar
Boyfriend of Marzipan
Feel free to go dump her any day

Homestar, ooh
I laughed so hard it made me cry
When you started celebrating Decemberween

Go, find The Cheat
Go, make Strong Sad fatter

On dates
You have no fun
Saying "Guh" ain't so divine
But you do it all the time

Say "jearb", everybody!
Scream it out loud
"Jearorb," "Jearb," and "Jorb"- teach Coach Z to talk!

Homestar, ooh
Just where are your arms?
I'd like to think you weren't born with any at all

Go, find The Cheat
Go, make Strong Sad fatter
I laughed so hard it made me cry
When you started judging pumpkins by everyone

Go, find The Cheat
Go, make Strong Sad fatter
Just where are your arms?
I'd like to think you weren't born with any at all

Go, find The Cheat
Go, make Strong Sad fatter

So you think you can stop Trogdor from Burninating?
So you think you can know Marzipan and not want to die?

Oh, Homestar
Just rock on, Homestar
And what exactly is Homsar?

Oh, Homestar
Just rock on, Homestar
And what exactly is Homsar?
Go, find The Cheat
Go, make Strong Sad fatter
I'd like to think you weren't born with arms at all

Go, find The Cheat
Go, make Strong Sad fatter

Go, make Strong Sad fatter
Play "Homestar Hair"
Go, make Strong Sad fat as a bear

I honestly tried making this parody pacing work in every way I knew how but I can't pace it at all :-/

Yeah, I'm afraid I had the same problem. It helped when I realized you weren't starting at the beginning of the song, though. Some good lines but as Rice said, hard to follow.

I got some of the jokes, and I like HomeStar, but it was just too hard for me to pace...

The beginning of the song? I don't understand.....I have never actually heard Bohemian Rhapsody, I just copied the lyrics from another site and then wrote the parody....is something wrong with them?
Claude Prez - October 08, 2003 - Report this comment
You can't be serious. But let's pretend you are. It starts out "Is this a real life? Is this just fantasy?" (Or something like that) But if you've never heard it, that explains a lot. I tend to do better work with songs I know really well.

Well that stinks.......stupid website. I'll try to find the lyrics I used again.

whatever lyrics site leaves out the beginning of bohemian rhapsody as well as the section that starts with "i see a little sillohetto of a man" (which i think is the most famous part) should lose its bandwith priveleges due to incompetence. Another thing... how can you do a homestar parody without mentioning STRONG BAD? I think when you have looked at just about the whole homestarrunner site and are familiar with bohemian rhapsody then you should try again. Until that time here is he definitive homestar parody for this site: http://www.amiright.com/parody/90s/smashmouth22.shtml

Dude, if you do a parody and you don't know the original song, you're gonna have serious pacing problems. Case and point. Great idea, but needs work. You can probably download it or get it from a friend, it's a very popular song. Let's see how Version 2.0 comes out.

Oh man... I've said it many many times and I will say it again... always listen to the song first! Like the others said, if you don't know the original, pacing is going to be horrible. You don't know if the song is fast, slow, if there are extra lyrics not on the lyrics site, incorrect lyrics on the lyrics site, the flow, etc. Keep those in mind. Good luck!
