Saw this fly flit
across my arbor
This story's real
that's no lie
Tale is urgent; must
tell you this, sir
he had the head
of a guy

That damn fly
was a guy
I looked hard; "That's really strange", I told myself
Didn't take no hard drugs today
And mostly I feel well

Then that fly said, "Sir
can you help me?"
then buzzed around for a while
Then he told me, "Bud
would you free me?
Spider's would eat me alive"

Told that fly
"No way, guy
might seem hard, and though I feel your pain, as well"
Then I told him, "Bud, no way, man"
He told me, "Go to Hell"

[longer instrumental break]

Told that fly
"Go and die"
'cross the yard he went, that strange thing, then he yelled
"You're a cold old f*cker, I say
I'll see your a$$ in Hell..."
