Face it, Young keeps on rockin' in the free world, while Diamond has become "The Jewish Elvis," and as Dick Smothers would say, "That was not a compliment!" Rick Duncan, who spoofed "I Am, I Said" in "I Am Quite Dead," would understand.

Ironic, how the poet laureate of Neil Diamond's home Borough was a... Southern Man. (From Mississippi by way of Florida. It was the Yankee broadcaster, Mel Allen, who was from Alabama.) And "Lucy's girl" is Lucie Arnaz, daughter of Lucille Ball & Desi Arnaz.

Nice job, Michaelopedia. I love Neil Diamond's earliest stuff; can't stand anything after it. He's working with infallible producer Rick Rubin on a big comeback album, though, so stay tuned.
