The Lyrics

I think I have such rapport with felines that I can actually hear what they are thinking. This is what my cats tell me....
I'm a tabby
I feel crabby
When will I be fed?

I'm a good pet
Getting' upset
When will I be fed?

When I wake up at noon
I see my bowl and weep
It don't get filled till six O'clock
I guess it's back to sleep

Licked all my fur
Where's that supper?
When will I be fed?

A cat like me has deep thoughts
In between each nap
Like when do I get to eat?
And where I have to crap

Get those crunchies
Got the munchies
When will I be fed?

Tell me
When will I (meow, meow)
Be (meow, meow, meow)
Fe-e-e-e-e-e-e-ed

Rick D - Oh, oh. This is getting scary. I put a similar theme aside to work on the two I posted today ("Thermometer" & "Feline Pine") themes. Mine was going to be to "Cowgirl in the Sand" and start "Hello moron with my plate"....Might still do it sometime soon. Loved yours, you've got the well-pampered housecat attitude wired. You really do come to understand that they consider you some kind of menial servant (and not a very good one for the most part, good help being hard to find). Just when you start wondering why you allow yourself to be treated that way they do something interesting, funny or affectionate and there you are, re-enlisted in their service. 5's,

You must have my cat's twin brother! I spoiled him as a kitten now I'm paying dearly!

Almost a perfect score, but I had to dock you a pacing point for citing Linda Ronstadt instead of the Everly Brothers. Why is Linda Ronstadt nicknamed "Reynolds Wrap"? Because she covers everything!

Michael, It looks like the cat have ate the pacing point you said you were going to deduct on this parody. I see 10 "5's" straight across (which I think it deserves). Besides, as long as the author specifies the performer can't they choose the version they are parodying? "Everly Brothers?", I'm ALMOST too old to remember this version. OH, another reason to use Linda Ronstadt's version is that her "up-tempo" version sounds more like a cat howling at you than the Everly Brothers more moderately paced original. I can see I'm primed to enter into some sort of weird "Cat Servitude" situation because I've written 2 cat-box parodies already and I'm searching down other people's cat-referenced stuff. Good thing my current place is too small.
