The Lyrics

I WAS BORN HERE IN OUR LOCAL BAR

I was born here in our local bar.
I was born here in our local bar.
Parents celebrating,
Right throughout the day,
But then they never gave a thought that I might be on the way.
I was born here in our local bar.

When they left the house that morning both were unprepared.
It seems they didn't give a damn and didn't really care.
When I started coming Mum was really in a state,
Para medics came but they were too late!
I was born here in our local bar.
I was born here in our local bar.

Now she knows what Hell is,
Hell is in that bar.
Had they acted sooner she could have had me in our car.
I was born here in our local bar,
Our local village bar.

When they left the house that morning both were unprepared.
It seems they didn't give a damn and didn't really care.
When I started coming Mum was really in a state,
Para medics came but it was too late!

I was born here in our local bar.
Every time I go there,
Knowing how it was,
I have a laugh with all my mates and tell them it's because
I was born here in our local bar,
Our local village bar.

Kudos for finding a great song that (as far as I can tell) has never been used on Amiright before! Even deserves bonus points because the star/bar switcheroo is such a trope here that that alone usually would have caused several veterans to discover it (the original song) many times over back in the day. How did the entire flock of us miss this one? 555.

Dint I see this in the musical "Pint Your Flagon"? ... (Groan)
