The Lyrics

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale
A tale of a president
Who started in a Texas town
Whose priorities are bent.
Yes, his dad was there before him
And taught him all he knows
This nation wondered what this was
As from hell he rose, from hell he rose.
The job, it started getting rough
We all paid the cost
If not for the courage of a certain few
The White House would be lost, the White House would be lost.
The plane came in and took out those mighty towers there
It was Osama
Al Qaeda too
Saddam H. and his mouth
The Pentagon, the third one crashed in a field
Here in Pennsylvania
So now our soldiers have the prisoners
Their abuse is out of line
They've only added to the hate
Bush is out of time
Osama and his cave dwellers
Will do their very best
To not be found, they can't be found
The nation's in distress
No bombs, no guns, no nuclear
No weapons of destruction
Like the World Trade Center
They exist in memory
So join me in my plea my friend
This one will take awhile
From hidden cave to hidden cave
Living with Dubya's rile

Very good effort. Starts out very strong, then seems to have some pacing and rhyme issues towards the end.

3/1/1. The pacing went off near the end. And what do you MEAN our soldiers are abusing the Iraqis? Only the ones that are blowing up innocent Americans!
To A Lesser Extent - May 13, 2004 - Report this comment
Yeah, the whole abuse thing is being blown out of proportion...Look at what they do to us compared to that? I wonder why it is that the news channels are eager to undermine our military when it misses every chance to cover all the videos and pictures that show how vile the other side treats people...hmm..? (Sorry if that was a bit angry.)

Some excellent lines here but sometimes not a smooth narritave or lyrical flow. A good effort that can be improved with revision. Worst Nightmare: The author is obviously referring to 'abuse' as defined by the Geneva Conventions. By this objective standard, even Bush and Rumsfeld admit they have happened.
Your Worst Nightmare - May 13, 2004 - Report this comment
Hmm... I have yet to see that on the news, Jay. Not saying that you are lying or wrong or anything, but I am just saying I haven't seen or heard anything about it.

Ah, you are talking about the Abu-Ghraib prisons. DOY! Should've realized that. Bush, however, didn't know about what went on in there. And TALE, yes, I know what happened in those prisons weren't nearly as bad as what they did, but USA is supposed to be a respectable country, and it is not supposed to torture people. That's just wrong.
