So, that was Christmas!
I’m glad that it’s done,
And happy it’s over,
Because it wasn’t much fun.
Who could have liked Christmas,
With people on strike?
And trains at a standstill,
There’s nothing to like.

A really sorry Christmas,
And from what I hear,
It won’t be much different
When it comes to New Year.

And so that was Christmas (ooh)
The worst I have had (ooh)
I can’t think of others (ooh)
To be quite so bad (ooh)
I hate it when Christmas (glad it’s over)
Is no fun at all (I just loathe it)
It seemed that the country (all of it)

Won’t be out on strike.

The posties not working (they’re all out too)
