The Lyrics

The Breadman Brothers (also known as Diesel and Paul) have requested Darius to do a parody of Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville song (We apologize, Jimmy!) on Independence Day.
[Verse 1: Diesel]
Crunching on potato chips,
Watching the sail ship,
All these people live on our bus.
Playin' with rockets,
Took out of their pocket,
See that smoke, it will turn into dust.

[Chorus: Paul]
Seem to be relaxin' here on Independence Day.
Watchin' the small rocket, hope it can work.
Neighbors and their kids putting water on that thing...
Could begin, to turn to fireworks.

[Verse 2: Diesel]
It should begin bursting.
Hang on, man. I'm thirsty.
Nobody said we'd be sleeping at home.
Outside, it's real comfy.
The blankets are lumpy.
Sitting outside, it feels like a throne.

[Chorus: Diesel]
Bro, it feels comfy here on Independence Day.
We are seeing the rocket blast off like a star.
Seein' it zoom, it's like a bomb going boom.
By the way, we brought out our guitar.

[Verse 3: Paul]
Went back on our big ship,
Taking a good sip,
It was good on our American land.
There was food on the table.
We knew we were able,
To look at the sky and boy, it was so grand.

[Chorus: Diesel]
Boy, we were having a blast on Independence Day,
We saw fireworks blast off in the sky.
Relaxin' out there, the fuse was flying in the air,
We all had a great 4th of July.

[Outro: Diesel and Paul]
Yes, we were relaxin' out there, the fuse was flying in the air,
We all had a great 4th of July.
Hope y'all had a great 4th of July, like the Breadman Brothers (also known as Diesel and Paul) did.
(C) Darius.

Independence Day was yesterday, so our parody is more pathetic than we thought.

What kind of cynical, miserable little sh*t would downgrade this? What's wrong with it?

CML, one person I never knew thought it was wrong to submit this parody today. I must have made Jimmy Buffett mad for using his parody (and now he's gonna send me to prison for this)

This was quite good - describes Burbank.

Pacing seemed a little off in a couple of places but otherwise a great job! All of us need to pause and remember those who gave us this holiday, including so many who will never see another one because they gave the ultimate sacrifice for us. On another note, Darius, keep 'em coming!

This one was really good, I havent been able to enjoy a good 4th due to having to constantly work on that day, but oh man, that was a busy day. Hope you had a wonderful 4th Darius!

Yo, thanks for um...the chills, dudes. Diesel and Paul Breadman (they're the Breadman Brothers if y'all didn't know) have requested me to do this kind of thing on July 4th. But you know, they've been up to trouble on Independence Day. They did have a chill day though.
