The Lyrics

(instrumental intro)

The legend live on - what in Florida went down,
How a big fake was made the Head Dummy.
The Fake who misled, called upon Dad's retreads,
Former spies we remember, and Rummy.
Railroaded Al Gore, Supreme Court fixed the score.
But the Head of the World's still empty.
Used gossip as news, all to spread right wing views,
T'was a theft last November, most surely.

The Shrub was the pride of the Republican side.
Of his past, he is still unresponsive.
He's a big liar, though, and we figured he'd boast
How his crew would help him get "well-seasoned."
Concluding two terms, Clinton's legacy seemed firm,
And he trusted Al Gore to continue.
Last Election Night, Bush's crooked gang
Went to work on the votes they were stealin'

(instrumental break)

The press and the wires held the nation spellbound,
Then declared it was over; Gore's failing.
But upon review, Bush's votes were too few.
So the witch, Katherine Harris, came stealin'
"We'll soon know the name of winner," she claimed
On her face, you knew she'd want a Bush win.

(instrumental break)

When recount time came, Bush just looked like a wreck, he said:
"Fellas, this is rough, I need ya!"
But through all the din, the Supreme Court pitched in; they said:
"Bush is the winner - it's over."
The Bush team all grinned; no more Gore votes comin' in
To put Bush's campaign back in peril.
That December night, the Supreme Court stopped the fight.
Now this Schmuck is a threat to the world!

(instrumental break)

Does anyone know how the Supreme Court chose
To just waive our votes for Bush's powers?
Researchers now say, to the public's dismay
There was vote fraud widespread all behind it.
Election screwed up, now we are not surprised
The networks carry Bush's water.
Through ill-gotten gains, we'll remember the names
Of those who had democracy slaughtered.

(instrumental break)

Down in the polls, the protestors sting;
Bush escaped to his big Texas mansion.
Still, Dubya schemes for his right wing dreams
His Star Wars and tax cuts important.
Karl Rove is his impresario.
Dick Cheney props up this pretender.
Where the future votes go, we Americans must know,
With the fraud last November remembered.

(instrumental break)

We hope Dubya's fall in the polls have displayed
That in prime time, his failure's not regal.
Europe is primed to say Dubya is slime,
And this man is a threat to the world.
The legend lives on - what in Florida went down.
How a big fake was made the Head Dummy.
It's clear he misread, that the issue's not dead,
T'was a theft last November, most surely!

(instrumental fade)
