Gordon Lightfoot lives -- at least for now. The author of "Sundown," "If You Could Read My Mind" and, of course, "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" was prematurely declared dead in the media. This adds him to the list of rockers REALLY gone before their time, including Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, Lou Reed, George Harrison (sadly, only a few days premature), Whitney Houston, and even Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake (allegedly in the same car crash).
