The Lyrics

I've been workin' outside so long
Mowing the same old lawn.
I know every root of the giant trees in Frontyardway,
Where labor's the name of the game
And lazy folks fade away like the dust and the stains.
There's been a great deal of perspirin'
Near the road that's close to my kin
So I want a treat that is made completely for me,

Like a chocolate milkshake
With the cold condensation rolling down the Styrofoam;
Like a chocolate milkshake
While I rest in nature as the sun shines and warm winds blow,
With a big straw plunged into the cold.

Though I like vanilla a lot
And enjoy what the flavor's got,
It's not the sole flavor that's here available my way.
And strawberry is yummy, too,
And Neapolitan has both the one as well as the two,
But there will be no compromisin'
For the flavor I'm desirin'
'Cause I want a treat that is made of just one for me:

It's a chocolate milkshake
With the cold condensation rolling down the Styrofoam;
Chocolate milkshake
While I rest in nature as the sun shines and warm winds blow.
With a big straw plunged into the cold.

It's a chocolate milkshake
With the cold condensation rolling down the Styrofoam;
It's a chocolate milkshake
While I rest in nature as the sun shines and warm winds blow.

Would you like a pink frosted doughnut with lots of sprinkles with that? Mmmmmmmm, forbidden doughnut!

Nice work, oddly enough I had a hot fudge-flavored shake earlier today, it was as good as this parody. 5s... and are you related to our great, oft-absent writer Alvin Rhodes? Your last name is very common, but the parody talent and use of 70s songs with food themes is similar.

As far as I know, Alvin and I are not related, but it's more than agreeable to have additional Rhodeses here. And according to legend, at least one person on Mom's side of the family (i.e., not the Rhodes side) had at least some interest in songwriting. --Andy

It turns out that the giant trees in Frontyardway have been cut down, but I'm not sure whether their roots will survive and warp one or more mower blades if the mowers are not careful.
