Growing thirsty at the sight of empties
In the rubbish can here in the kitchen
Messy garbage now has stained 'em
But, at least my lips have drained 'em,
Every drop
The color of forgetting comes in amber
Like my life, it's on the rocks
Not yet midnight, but, I'll raise the glass
With a toast to all the liquid memories
