The Lyrics

This is my 4th Total Recall parody of a song from “Wind & Wuthering,” and it is a parody of an instrumental. This parody is about Douglas meeting with Melina on Mars, who would happen to be the girl of his dreams. This definitely takes place after Douglas gets out of his lady disguise and defeats some bad guys from the Mars hotel. This parody is about Douglas begging Melina to assist him on his quest on Mars. The numbers are the lengths of time on that instrumental track. For each length, I would sing it out. For example, “0:30-1:09” equals “30 seconds through 1 minute & 9 seconds.” In other words, the separate lengths of times would be the only parts I would sing out.
***0:30-1:09***:
I have come to you in peace, Melina
I am here on Mars for you, Melina
I want you to assist me on my quest, Melina
Please, Melina

***1:35-2:00***:
I do not work for Cohaagan
That President’s a hooligan
Those bad guys are after me
They are trying to catch and kill me
But I want you to come with me
If you want to live, you have got to
Take my hand and choose to trust me

***2:01-2:20***:
You are the girl of my dreams, Melina
And we will fight to change this world on Mars, Melina

(During the ending music, Douglas says to Melina “Come with me if you want to live,” which is another T2 reference. Then, Melina takes his hand and comes with him.)
In the movie, Melina rejects Douglas with a gun, but in this broadway musical, Melina agrees to go with Douglas. You think this instrumental was challenging to parody, the last instrumental, which is “...In that Quiet Earth,” is gonna be the toughest to parody. Anyways, four parodies down, five more (covering three songs and two instrumentals) to complete the album. My next song parody in the album, parody of “All in a Mouse’s Night,” should be a “blast,” if you know what I mean.
