The Lyrics

Here's my made-up story: I got the 2009 Platinum Edition DVD of Pinocchio for Christmas. Plus, I saw an alternate ending that was sad. Now, here's what I was thinking of. Honest John was originally gonna sing a song to the tune of the Theme from New York, New York (it wasn't written yet), however, Disney didn't like that idea, so he dropped it and used "Hi Diddle-Dee Dee" instead. Here's what the song was originally gonna sound like: (it's fake, don't panic!)
Pinocchio: Huh?
Honest John: Come on, Pinoke! I gotta song to sing about you!
(starts singing) Start spreading the news
We're leaving today
While singing "Hi-Diddle-Dee-Dee"
Pinocchio!
These wooden boy shoes
Are longing to stray
And step around the heart of that
Pinocchio!
I want to wake up
With Stromboli so I can see
That you are king of the hill!
Pinocchio: I am?
Honest John: Oh, hold on not yet!
(singing) My no money blues
Are melting away
And make a brand new start of that
Pinocchio show!
If we can make it there!
We'll make it anywhere!
It's up to you, Pinocchio!
Pinocchio: Okey dokey!
Meanwhile....
Jiminy: Oh my, I'm late, I'm late, for a very important date! Anyway, I gotta go! Oh my! A song! I gotta join in!
Honest John: (singing) Pinocchio!
Pinocchio: (singing) I wanna wake up with Stromboli so I can't sleep!
Jiminy: Uh oh! Pinoke! PINOCCHIO!
Pinocchio and Honest John: (singing) To find where kings of the hill, ends of the list, creams of the crop and the tops of the heap!
Jiminy: OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Honest John: KICK LINE GIDDY! KICK LINE!
Pinocchio: What's a kick line?
Honest John: You'll see! (starts singing) MY NO MONEY BLUES!
Jiminy: What's going on?
Honest John: (singing) ARE MELTING AWAY! JOIN IN!
Pinocchio: (singing) I'll make a brand new start of it
Honest John: (singing) PINOCCHIO!
Pinocchio: (singing) If we can
Honest John: (singing) MAKE IT THERE, WE'LL MAKE IT!
Pinocchio: (singing) Anywhere! Come one come through
Honest John and Pinocchio: (singing) PINOCCHIO!
Jiminy: (jumps on Honest John's hat) I look cozy up there!
Honest John: (singing) END OF THE SONG!
Jiminy: STOOOOOOOOOP!
Honest John: Huh? What's that?
Pinocchio: Hey, that's Jiminy!
(the next scene starts)
Narrator: And that got deleted because Disney hated Sinatra. Yes, I made it all up.
