The Lyrics

Anyone who isn't familiar with the stork myth can read a brief review on StorkNet.
She’s spreadin’ the news a kid’s on the way
It’s gonna be attended by the stork, the stork
I’m hittin’ the booze ‘cause starting today
My single days are ended by the stork, the stork

Forgot protection on that night when we didn’t sleep
And she was not on the pill, now I’m in deep
My bachelor life is melting away
I bet they masterminded it – her and that stork
I had no sheath to wear, and now I get an heir
I’d like to sue the stork, the stork

The stork, the stork
I need to face it, no more pity, this is for keeps
Because I’m having a son, ain’t it a twist, price of a thrill
Having a son

These wedding bell blues, I’ll shove them away
I’ve gotta make a brand new start of it – me and the stork
But there is one thing I swear, I’ll teach my son to be prepared
He’ll never rue the stork, the stork
The stork

As Frankie might have said in his autumn years, "Ya bettuh believe it, baby!" 555 (and a good shot at Artistry podium!)

Considering how often they deliver little terrorists I wouldn't be surprised to find out that storks are honorary members of the Al Qaida pilot division, but that aside this parody left me with a big grin all over my beak! 555!

My sister just had twins, and she can tell you that babies do NOT come from the stork! They do, however, as Toby Zigler said in "The West Wing," come with hats. (Not exactly, but the hospital does provide the adorable little hats.) The security code for this comment was RAF. Does that mean the baby in this parody is going to grow up to serve in the Royal Air Force?

If you think you have a problem think of how she feels. How would you like it if your husband pressured you to have a baby right after the wedding day and if you didn't, left you for another woman? He would be like what your security code abbreviates - Gone with the Wind.

Time for some bird hunting?

Very good parody. I would have preferred "she and the stork" and "I and the stork," but there are many lines I did like. Particularly "I had no sheath to wear, and now I get an heir" and the rhymes for "new."

(Artistry) I don't recall getting fed the stork myth when I was a kid. Good tribute to it in any case!

I thought the stork brought pickles. How's he get the babies? Excellent work anyway though! 555

Hey, do you KNOW it's yours? Sounds like a prime time to take a paternity test... make sure you go on Jerry Springer, too, heh heh. Funny work, Rex.

(Artistry) Very clever Idea, generally well executed as typical of you work.
