Hey, but jobs are up, unemployed down, record stock market highs. Trump meeting with corporate America to create tens of millions of jobs. No TPP. The pipelines going through. New healthcare coming. A stand against Assad, MOAB dropped on ISIS, and N Korea served notice that Trump will stop his nuke program by force if necessary. Got China to stop exporting to that perverted hermit kingdom. New bills supporting Vets, Law Enforcement, and got a Supreme Court judge that is a Constitutionalist! Damn! Add deregulation and lower taxes coming for the rich and middle class. What more you want, boy?

Good work, Phil. I am not a Trump supporter, but I think he has done some good things including nominating Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court and ratcheting back some overregulation. In general, I prefer businesspeople over attorneys for cabinet and other positions, so I am OK with most of his appointments. But I am not comfortable with his tweets, his wall, his protectionism, and I don’t think that the Afghanistan MOAB or the Syria missile strike were particularly good ideas. I did not vote for him in the California Primary or the national election and I can’t imagine that I ever will, but impeachment considerations seem very premature.

@Trump 4eva: What more do I want? Maybe a president who actually has some idea of what the job entails, isn't a petulant little baby and doesn't change his story every day. A president who can speak in coherent sentences, knows which country he's firing missiles into, doesn't pick the most inappropriate ex-Goldman Sachs or rich donors for cabinet positions. A president who doesn't use his family to make money from the presidency and play golf more in a month than he complained about his predecessor doing in a year. And that's ignoring whatever might come of the Russian links. In short, a president rather than a whiny little snowflake.

@JJ - impeachment will happen as soon as the Republicans in Congress think he's going to cost them their jobs, and not before. You have a strange setup over there, where impeachment proceedings are political rather than judicial, so if you have a party in power that values party loyalty over patriotism, I guess that's what happens.

The millions of people worldwide and throughout time who have found comfort in supporting self-styled strongmen, when democracy and separation of powers (e.g., an independent judiciary) are the alternative, are probably congenitally predisposed to magical thinking and irrational fear and hatred, or have been made so by a pathological early environment. Whether Phil puts his trust in the commonweal or in the evidence supporting the usefulness of GMO, he is wearing himself out fighting a common human flaw: fear of uncertainty. The faithful who would forgive Trump shooting somebody dead on Fifth Avenue will, at a minimum, praise alleged achievements of their Master (Mussolini got the trains to run on time; Hitler revived the economy; Trump alone will create millions of jobs). So far the worst POTUS ever has been Warren Harding, with James Buchanan (who drove US into civil war) on second place. But the achievements of Donald Trump during his first 100 days certainly are not convincing. Which is worse form of statehood, theocracy or plutocracy, is IMO a matter of taste.
