Parody Song Title:

"Levant"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Levant: constant war, yet holds a town
that gave us child Jesus,
“Prince of Peace” his name,
but peace is not what gives this region renown.

Levant, Levant—name is funny;
it comes from the français,
means “rising,” “mounting.”
But it’s farther sinking every day.

We were conned by fraudsters to be pawns in a shitstorm fray:
not in sand but up asses were their heads.
So the war began,
where they’re never gonna change their ways.

And that is the Levant,
mainly a wasteland of sand;
that’s most of the Levant
There are few exceptions in this land,
but most of the Levant
ain’t past the Dark Ages planned.
Hopeless the Levant.

Levant cannot quell the ruthless clowns
that call themselves ISIS.
Theo-creeps blow stuff up all day.
To understate things: there’s a crisis.

These people. . .worst evil of Medieval;
The Levant is far behind
the times. The place is beyond failing—
Levant continues to unwind.

Makes a lot more sense to me than the original song, which I never could quite understand, though it seems to be about some fellow from that region.
