The Lyrics

A bed time story... >:-)
They all come out at midnight
From the trees and from the shoreline
To make havock in the country
We do not have much time
The demons and the monsters
Are always near and around
It's no use to grab your shotgun
Or to hide underground

Trolls in the water
And demons in the sky

They caught themselves a stray hound
It died with an awful sound
People around are running in and out
Pulling kids out the ground
When it was all over
They had to find another place
But day time was running out
It seemed that they would lose the race

Trolls in the water
And demons in the sky

They ended up at a road motel
It was empty cold and bare
And with the creatures all screaching right outside
They knew none would be spared
With a few red lights and a few old guns
They tried to make it last
"No matter how - we'll get out of this!..."
But saving there was none...

Trolls in the water
And demons in the sky

Fishes go pook pook pook! Oh, wait, that's not.. NYAHAH! TROLL SONG! :D Glad to be an inspiration XDDD Love it! The pacing's good, the words match and rhyme and it's got trolls in it :) I'd have picked something other than demons in the second line, but it works well enough :)

Actually, it had nothing to do with Tolkien (I'm not one to put the professor down). I actually had Rober Burns and Irish fairy-tales in mind when I wrote this.

Like Pooka, I would have used something else than demons in the second line of the chorus, probably "witches" to stay with the foresty and fairytaly feel, but thatĀ's just a minor complaint. I liked this and it made me wanna write a trollsong myself. IĀ'll probably save it for next Hallowen though. 545.

555 for you, haven't head this song in a LONG time, but it sounded like it was well written, and to be honest ( as always) it was easier to just give you a 5 on pacing rather than trying to find a way to hear this again. Funny too.
