The Lyrics

Yes, another entry in my "Cooking with Crosby" Parody Project. Hope you enjoy it...
Corned beef hash I throw in the trash
It tastes like gru-uu-uel
It always gives me gas
I say, "P.UU-UU-UU-UU."

Dave Crosby's cooking sucks
It's really ba-aa-aad
Guess we're all out of luck
Neil Young just he-ea-ea-eav-eaavved

Food from last night was just awful and stinking
How wasted were we and just what were we think-kiinng?
Spaced out; Neil Young was, and Steve Stills sure was drinking
Depended on Graham, didn't he have an ink-liinng?

Too late, now Crosby cooks
Gut hurts to-day-ayay
We should give him the hook
Toss out his damn cookbook
Toss it a-way-ayay
We acted just like schnooks
Now we all he-ea-ea-eav-eeaavveee

Should not have allowed Dave Crosby to cook here
a real gross error
At dinner now we all quiver in great fear
await in terror

We need to find some way to fire
Dave
then we'll eat better fare
Just what is that I smell frying?
Hope it's not his hai-air-air-air-airrrr

Crosby's gruel is really sh*tty
Got me down on knees and hands
His leftovers, fed the kitty
Now at vet-er-nar-i-an
Food's so bad; we just can't sta-an-aannd
So damned gross ; it should be ba-aa-aannd
Crosby's gru-uu-uel....

Thanks, guys...another one that was great fun to write...and even greater fun to sing. Doing an over-blown Neil Young imitation here had me warbling through a big grin. I was listening to this and the "Teach Your Children" one on the drive to work this morning and, with all due modesty (yeah, right...)I was cracking myself up...that doesn't happen that much right after I've gone through the whole writing, changing, polishing and editing process...Recording the voice-overlays after that really helps keep it fresh to ME(and gives me another "Final Editing" tool if I have a chance to do it BEFORE I submit the piece)...I recommend it if you can possibly figure out even a crude way to do it - even though a lot of times you cringe at the results, you will get better at it time (probably). At that point it just becomes a whole lot of fun.

The fun in this piece came through. By now, I'd find ANYWAY to get Crosby out of the kitchen! 5's

Well, Pat, the album "Project" IS nearing an end...only three more pieces to post to complete it....Remaining OS's: "Almost Cut My Hair", "Woodstock", and "Everybody I Love You"...and I've already finished ONE of them...not telling which one yet...Will Crosby keep the "Chef's" position or be overthrown? Stay tuned ~ ~ ~ PS...I haven't decided yet, but I MAY throw in a "Bonus" track (or two), just like the recording companies do nowadays when they Re-Release prior albums...
