The Lyrics

Another installment in my "Crosby cooks for CSNY" Parody Project. You'll note that in the last verse I reference "4+20 Blackbirds Baked in This Here Pie" - Stills gets his hand bitten by a live bird in that one...
Tonight Dave Crosby made a casserole
Was beef with pasta; Angel Hair
The beef was dried-out and the pasta cold
It was just not tasty fare

Steve Stills slipped his plate out to the dog
Graham Nash rolled his eyes
"I can't eat this crap, there's no way, guys"
Think we've all now realized

This is tasteless, tasteless
won't eat this mess
It's really awful chow
And even though this will make Dave really sore
We must tell him, anyhow

(Instrumental break)

Dave, it's tasteless, we wouldn't lie
Everything you make tastes vile
Live birds bit Steve in your last pie
It's so bad it makes me cry

It's so tasteless, tasteless
a disgrace, this
Tasteless, tasteless
where are the mints?
Tasteless, tasteless,
mouth; I must rinse
Tasteless, tasteless,
please take these hints
Tasteless, tasteless,
we can't eat this

(Out to Fade)

Thanks, Pat...I did a rough voice overlay of this (and the other piece I posted today) last night...I'll probably do a better one soon (maybe this afternoon after work) and send it along.

Paul, this line made me laugh out loud for real --- "Live birds bit Steve in your last pie" --- LOL !!! Great job!

Afraid I am DKTOS on most CSN (& sometimes Young), but a good read.

Thanks, JD...Have you seen that piece of mine that I am referring to there ("4+20 Blackbirds Baked in This Here Pie")? I posted that one back in early July, I think. That's the one that prompted me to try this project, so it's already the "4+20" parody piece. Got at least one other one coming up for tomorrow - will see if I can do anymore on this project tonight. Red Ant and AFW - thanks for the look-see and comment. I guess this album is now officially under most people's radar screens...it sure was a big deal when it came out, though (not quite as big a deal as their first album in 1969 was).
