Whether you are pro or con, torture to gain information won't provode the answers in this parody. The parody merely poses the debate on the pros and cons of the issue.

Merely gettin' even, it's about suffer time.
They won't see no courthouse, spooks get inside their mind.
Forbid use of torture, why not string 'em up?
They'll think a monsoon’s out, and they'll blow air like a carp.

Down with the torture, beat up the sheiks,
Will we make these Moor-boys start sayin',
Bring a buckle, rap their feet.
'
Torture on the washboard, just drown 'em for a while,
Blinky gives 'em eye mace, let homos play their bile.
Whore boys spank their rear ends; make do the hoochy-ma-coo,
Will he bring you true romance, or dabble your wazoo.

Drown us a foreigner, out us a sheik,
Chilly be these war boys, ain't playin',
Tinkle, piddle, crap the sheet.

Call up the cor'ner, cover dead meat,
You're gonna see some gore boys. start prayin'.
Burn they're nipples feel the heat.

Don't be such a pin-head, or we'll bang around,
But give us just a nibble, and we'll stay your head a pound.
Beat up on the foreigner, if knappy be your choice,
We won't turn you upside down; give up your Magi boys.

This one seemed disturbing to be honest, but you covered a very important topic. I have to be blunt and say some of the word play got me confused and that I didn't really get a laugh out of it, paced well though.

well written and thought provoking....love the contrast between your lyrics and the joyous tone of the OS

Definitely well-written, but I'm not sure I see that it explicitly "merely poses the debate ..." Describing a number of unpleasant- sounding procedures in a context that suggests they're at least likely to be effective seems to me to lean, however unintentially, a tad "pro"-ward.

DISCLAIMER.

If the parody that this author wrote is offensive then it has done what it was intended to do. I find all types of physical torture extremely offensive and not a bit reliable. Ask Senator John McCain if torture is effective. He would most likely consider the question as rhetorical.

This parody was written in hard case to stress the point of information I have gathered from the "first person". I spend my work day with people who wear the uniform of the United States Armed Forces and I know several people who performed duty inside Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo and other places the average news-watcher never sees or hears of.

This author has also worn the uniform of his county and served her honorably. There are a handful of bad apples who the media focus upon and people are prone to believe that the entire military establish behaves this way if they see it on TV, read it on the internet or learn about it from any source of news media. The good things that happen are seldom ever mentioned because people like the dirt, (that's what brings the bacon home to the news media) so I put the dirt out in this writing.

I would be the first to volunteer to sit on panel in a courtsmartial and decide someone's future who may be guilty of bringing dishonor upon our country and the uniform. These people who were convicted of atrocities at Abu Ghraib and other places deserve the punishment that they are receiving or have received. Prisoners were made to perform homosexual acts and were sexually humiliated, beaten, tortured and their religion defiled as the news brought this all into our homes. The United States has a constitution that defends us against this kind of abuse by those in authority. When that authority oversteps its bounds then the legally convicted guilty need to be dealt with and dealt with to the full extent that the law allows.

This is a slap in the face to every good soldier, sailor, airman and marine when this sort of thing happens. I used hard language because what I wrote about here is not pretty, not neat, not funny and not condoned by the establishment or this author.

I am merely a parody writer and whatever I write I take full credit and full responsibility for. So blow off all you want about what this author has written - it won't change what you see on your screen and neither will I. I beg no forgivness for writing what I feel. As a US citizen I have the 1st amendment to protect me as so do we all who are inside the boundaries of this soverign nation. Those who wear the uniform are duty sworn to uphold the laws and the constitution of the United States of America. Too bad a few bad apples have to spoil it for everyone.

If I were voting on this parody I'd give it a 5 for pace - a "not" for funny and an overall "true, but sad, fact".

Raw and riveting

You achieved your goal, Guy. Parodies are just that: parodies. It was a bold move to write something of this nature that goes against your personal beliefs, and I commend you for it. I voted almost the same as you would have: 523, only reason the overall wasn't a tad higher is that the last two choruses are missing.

As far as debate goes, I'll pass this time because I am in agreeance with you and also because I've never met anyone "pro torture" that can withstand a debate longer than five minutes.

My comments are more in line with alvin's. Extra 5 for working "hoochy-ma-coo" into a parody!
