The Lyrics

California condors were brought back from the brink of extinction a quarter-century ago and still cling precariously to survival. Federal law prohibits the harassment or killing of endangered species for any reason. In a decision swiftly condemned by conservationists and wildlife advocates, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service said operators of Terra-Gen Power’s wind farm in the Tehachapi Mountains will not be prosecuted if their turbines accidentally kill a condor during the expected 30-year life span of the project. Oil = Bad, Condor = Good; Wind Power = Good, Condor = Lose
Why do birds fall out of the sky
I get hit, walking by
Look ahead, see more are dead
What the hell

Condor flew through a sky of blue
Then he got chopped in two
Could it be wind energy
Spelt his doom

On the day that you were hatched the angels sang your praises
And declared you to be master of the air
Yeah sure bats can fly and all as well
But next to you they simply don’t compare

Coal and oil cause a lot of pain
(Lots of pain)
To our friends
(Animal)
Fish and fowl
(Oily goo)
We must find some other kind
Energy

Then one day we hit upon the answer to our prayer
It’s a source so new and yet as old as time
But the unintended consequence
Was almost more than we could hope to bear

Though we’re told you must not be harmed
(Stay your hand)
Still the wind
(Gaia’s breath)
Must be farmed
(Got to be)
More and more it looks like you’re
On your own
Sad to say soon is the day
You’re extinct

Your OS choices are outside the box, which lends the element of originality and surprise. Nice one. Looking forward to seeing more like this.

I remember walking around an all-glass building in North Kansas City. The ground was littered with dead birds who had flown into it, its reflection matching the background of the sky. Even as I was standing there I heard a bird bounce off. All life and economics are a trade off.
