TYRO (who by now has recovered enough to blurt out): But I don’t understand, Mitler is Jewish.

SULLEN: So was his idol, Adolph

(Enter ROOSKIE GHOULIEHARMY)

ROOSKIE: Oh, Adolph as was OK, don’t get me wrong. We still venerate him. But in some respects, he’s yesterday’s Newspeak, in spite of the ordained election results.

TYRO: “Ordained”?! What’s he talking about.

SULLEN: F**k!! With The Capo’s help—once again—he’s going to prevail. Bend over and kiss your association with democracy “goodbye.”

(TYRO stands still, in stunned silence. A tear runs down his cheek.)

ROOSKIE (snidely): As my colleague Sick Dullbrainy says, “Get used to it!” (ROOSKIE sings)

For the way things were, there is no more room
in the new U.S.A.
Life was a covfefe, yeah but
that is now yesterday.

If you are fretting and see that end loom
with what goes on today…
convert to a Capo-pay slut,
with the Capo’s cadre.
No use to whine;
you’d better stand
and raise your arms with venerating—
the agent’s no more in waiting.
For democracy you will hear a boom
as it is blown away.
It is the Capo's way we’ll run
things as the Capo’ll say.

Some of you thought the system was still healthy.
The Capo rigged the race, got someone else; he's
craven, true, and craves autocratic power
and conspired with enemies in his tower.
The way we pulled off couldn’t be slicker,
and now, just like thieves, we are even thicker.
I used a simile—what did I mean?!
We ain’t LIKE thieves! True thieves always was our scene.

Our true selves are revealed and on display;
we’re gonna start doing things the Capo’s way.
You will see some big changes coming soon—
old ways had gone astray.
Life appointments are gonna come…
Russia and USA.
2020, post-2020,
You’d better smile and get real comfy
with a whole different kind o’ country.

With new regime…best be over the moon;
it’s a new dacha day.
It’s now the Capo’s play; all done
is the USA that we had once.
