The Lyrics

A Public Service Announcement to anyone considering watching what is perhaps the worst movie I have ever seen. Seriously. And that includes Jeepers Creepers...oh, and A.I...which is saying a lot.
I hung out this weekend with a friend of mine
She rented some movies to entertain
I guess all the good ones were hard to find
My attempts to leave--they were all in vain

(classic guitar riff)

And so we watched "Gigli"
She thought maybe the show would be okay (yeah we watched "Gigli")
Was horrible, really! (horrible really)
When I saw Bennifer act that way
When I saw Bennifer act that way

Though many people had called it bad
She said that that critics had been wrong before
Could have watched "Glitter" now I wish we had
I'll regret that choice now forever more!

(Classic guitar riff)

Why did we watch "Gigli?"
Should have known it would suck in a big way (why'd we watch "Gigli?")
It's horrible, really! (horrible really)
What a way to waste a good Friday
What a way to waste a good Friday

If you're tired, your thoughts aren't clear
Just don't watch that movie...watch "Fletch" instead
Avoid it though you might like J-Lo's rear
Ten minutes in, I wished I was dead
Wished I was dead...wished I was dead...

(Classic guitar riff)

Don't ever watch "Gigli!"
I can promise you'll want to run away (Please don't watch "Gigli!")
It's horrible, really! (horrible really)
You'll regret it 'til your dying day!
You'll regret it 'til your dying day!

You mean 'Gigli' was even worse than 'Hope Springs'? Now that was a piece of crap.
Arwen - January 15, 2004 - Report this comment
I never saw "Hope Springs," but "Gigli" was the worst movie I've ever seen. Bar none.

Nice job. Ever seen Ishtar? I think it's hilarious. For that reason alone, I've considered seeing Gigli. But I think intead I'll just take your word for it. (If you can't trust a Kearns emigre, who CAN you trust?)

Arwen, Have much more interest in Ben-Wa than Ben-Lo or whatever they are called. Good parody. 555 - Does worst movie ever include Foreign Sci-Fi/Monster Movie releases from the 50's and 60's? Because I saw "Atragon" on TV a couple of times. The usual American version of a bad Japanese monster/sci-fi movie from the era. One Anglo-America actor of mostly past renown (Nick Adams, in this case) spliced into a movie he didn't actually work on originally. Anway, "Atragon" was a giant submarine that could also fly that had a huge drill on the front nose of it so it could, well, as you may already have guessed, that's right, "Bore thru ANYTHING", kind of like the movie...There was a scene down in Atlantis (yup, the lost continent) with the Space Aliens in the movie (forget what they were called) and the leaders of the Atlantis continent in a tense, dramatic moment with the possibility of armed conflict occurring if they could not reach an agreement (oddly enough both the Space Aliens AND the Atlantians had a remarkable resemblance to Japanese people. In fact, my brother, David, filled in some dialogue for them "We have evaved a cull-tuh fah beyond that of mortah man, although much resembring the Japanese." Sorry for the politically incorrect pidgeon English but he was about 16 then and this was around 1961.) Anyway, behind the Atlantian leader was a clock that said "4:00" in one moment, the next moment the camera went to the Alien leader, he uttered some weird threat and back the camera goes to "Atlantian" for a pithy comment. Clock behind him now reads "10:15". So that was pretty bad, but actually quite funny in a campy sort of way. I will probably remember that longer than anything that happened in "Gigli" will be remembered.

Paul...I can't believe I never thanked you for your votes on this! I'm a slacker...let it be known. You know I appreciate you, right??? Of course you do...=)

Arwen, with the length of my comment I just figured you were still reading it and trying to figure out what the HELL I was talking about. Just kidding (Well, kind of...whew, I can really ramble on, can't I ?). Sometimes I realize that just reading and answering MY comments could be a full-time chore so I don't expect everyone to always respond back. Enjoy when they do, however...So Thank YOU! I glad you seem to get a kick out of my "short-cuts thru Hemet" (an old family joke about a recommended "short-cut" that increased a return trip from Palm Springs from 2 hours to 7 hours).

Arwen...spot on! Gigli is the biggest pile of goat crap I have ever seen...you've just inspired me to write "That Gigli Got me" by The Kinks 555

I can't wait to read it, Kristof...Hooray for our new anti Gigli alliance! it really was tehe worst movie ever. And I'm really not all that hard to please...I mean...I am a proud owner of "Saving Silverman."
