HOLDING OUT FOR OUR HEROES

In these days of suffering
When life's a living hell,
All throughout the land we find the ones who serve us well.
Everywhere we find them, key workers one and all,
Day and night they slog and they toil
As they heed our beckon call.

We need these heroes,
All doing things that a hero does by day and by night.
They answer the call
And they're helping us all
With the way that they're fighting the fight.
They're super heroes,
All doing things that we can't do until there is light.
They all play their part
And it's right from their heart
And they're all so much larger than life,
Larger than life.

Somewhere in this nightmare
There are people you can't see,
All are working round the clock
To help the likes of you and me.
Caring for the aged and treating all the poor,
Regardless of the role they play, we couldn't ask for more.
