"Don't Kill the Album"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

A parody that will encourage record companies not to diminish the album. Without the album, nobody will follow in the footsteps of Pink Floyd. Heck, I won't even have a concept album to do.
A new age has come
Album's almost gone
People, don't kill the album
'Cause they will make a comeback some day... The Dark Side of the Moon
Come on people... don't kill the album
Please make downloads dead... don't kill the album
All the DJs are high... don't kill the album
They'll make a comebaaaaack

La la la la la
La la la la la

'Ninety-nine is done
Album's almost gone
Downloads from the Internet
Are replacing them indefinitely... Downloads from the Internet
40,000 MP3 songs everyday... Those Downloads from the Internet
40,000 MP3 songs everyday... Replacing happiness
Another 40,000 coming everyday... Rock albums rock by far
Come on people... don't kill the album
Please make downloads dead... don't kill the album
All the DJs are high... don't kill the album
They'll make a comebaaaaack

La la la la la
La la la la la

(Solo)

Dark Side's a great one
Albums are not gone
If they're gone, there'll be sadness
It would be clear music couldn't go on
Then the door would close and then Miss Britney Spears
Would make Clear Channel disappear
The Downloads would be illegal... Albums are here to stay
Come on people... Bring back Britney Spears
Old bands reunite... their songs starting to fly
We kicked download's butt and said good bye... Concept albums rock by far
Albums by old rock bands... They are excellent by far
Come on people... don't kill the album

As I said in the inthe00s.com messageboard, I don't believe they should stop making albums. But I hope they consider bringing back the old .45 singles in CD form and sell them for no more than $3.99. BTW, good writing, Chris.:)
