Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"Drained Wops Keep Fallin On My Head"

Parody Written by:

Malcolm Higgins

The Lyrics

drained wops keep fallin on my head
i'm just a croc who lives below the venice bridge,
by the lovers ridge,
but I'm never gonna stop the rain by complainin,

so I just did me some talkin to the one
the dracula who's takin blood from all these silly wops
then over the side he drops,
those drained wops keep fallin on my head they keep fallin

but there's one thing, I know,
the ones they sent to feed me, it won't leave me
it won't be long till darkness falls,
and drac awakes and comes to feed me

drained wops keep fallin on my head
and every one has bite marks on the neck
ah but what the heck,
I'm never gonna save their veins by complainin

Im kind of offended by this....but nevertheless, where the hell did you think up this idea?

Yeah, I'm not Italian, but racial/ethnic slurs offend me very much. No need for it.
Bubba - March 23, 2003 - Report this comment
Actually, that song is from 1969.

WOP as an ethnic slur comes from With Out Papers, as in illegal, yeah I know Without is one word but it goes to show the ignorance of people who hate. Hey BJ your song is blowme, below me that is, see good pun bad pun. It's all in fun so on your knees byotch. Yours truly, PJ DiSanti

I hope there's another meaning for WOP! Because if you're singing what I think you're singing, then you a racist son of a b!#(h!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No there is only one meaning for this word and I heard it a lot growing up. I'm here to tell you that my grand parents came from Italy and I don't know if they had papers or not, nor does it matter for that part, they spoke two languages and people who only spoke one called them stupid. I am offended by this song. I had a song rejected by ChuckyG today because it parodied another writer on this board. He indicates that it was rejected because it was against the rules. So why is this allowed and mine gets rejected? There is another meaning for WOP - WITH OUT PREJUDICE. This is so unfair. .

I'm adding my voice to this overwhelming crowd against your song...it is biased and totally without merit..it offends everyone here. Think again on your principles and redo them post haste.

Keep this up, Malcolm, and you will be sleeping with the fishes. On the other hand, he got Guy and me to agree on something, which is a remarkable achievement. Sort of like getting France and Germany to agree on something. But at what price?

This is quite interesting. My mate stumbled on it a few months back -

I fairly strange one. Slightly funny. What I find far more strange is that some persons have been offended by it. Surely its just a bit of a laugh?

I prefer to suck on Germans as they tend to be less greasy, their speech patterns make the necks more pliable for my fangs and they generally stop on the bridge to take in the night time air. DAM Italians, they just flail their arms too much!

Let's not get too precious, guys. (Sticks and stones etc.) The first line is so brilliantly zany and I love the surrealism of the lyric. it has to be straight 5s.

Oh, that ~DNA~ it' ll get you every time, Sir. While I do agree with Sir Guy that racial parodies are only 1-sided! but this is cute; I've been on the RialtoBridge, so this does bring back memories!

Has no one ever heard the joke about the vampires who go to Venice? They wait on a dark bridge and when a couple walks by, the vampires grab 'em, suck 'em dry, then toss 'em over the bridge and into the canal. After enjoying a second helping of dinner and then dessert they turn away only to hear some singing. They peer over the bridge and see an alligator singing "Drained wops keep falling on my head." He took the last of a joke and kept going with it. He's not trying to be a racist ass. He's just running with the joke

It's a nice piece of work. And this is not damning with faint praise -- y so srs has got it right. Well done, my friend.

And, BTW -- My dad was Swedish and my mom was Italian. Perhaps it's because I'm from Brooklyn, New York, but kids there recognized ethnicity, but didn't care. All we cared about was whether the guy could play ball well.
