friday night, i crashed...i'm scarry
saturday too wet...i'm sorry
sunday came...i tried it out again
i was really havin' fun
flyin' over everyone
i was overjoyed by speed and force and range

i then landed in a sandy zone
and clocked the time that i had flown
faster than an ol' bicycle...it is plain
and though orville wants to drive
he's afraid that it may dive
so i guess i've proved that i'm the more insane

i'm wilbur wright...i must be crazy
cause i jumped in a cocoon of sticks and took a tour
flew left and right...in circles, lazy
my time ain't long, for all i know...cause i'm wilbur wright

december has such chilly air
alone in that ol' pilot's chair
aloft for thirty yards...that made me smile
i'm no birdie...i'm a man
but i drew up airplane plans
spent the days employed in fashionin' it's style

now, man has never flew but tried to
crashed into the hills and bayous
maybe its just crazy, you might say
but its something i must do...flyin' off into the blue
if i thought it out, i knew i'd find a way
