Unlike Chris Matthews, President Obama doesn't send "a tingle up my leg." This parody, however, is MUCH better than "I've Got A Crush On Obama" and "MMM, MMM, MMM! Barack Hussein Obama!". ;D

Well, I wrote "Barack Obama" to "Copacabana," but this works, too. Hopefully, by the time he runs for re-election in 2 years, we can all sing "Looks Like We Made It." Not that the Tea Party morons will want to, but we tried it their way, and nearly ruined the country.

In terms of sheer difficulty, this was one of the hardest songs I've ever written. I was trying to come across as an avid supporter without sounding silly. Even for true believers, that isn't always easy. I based some of it on Michael's parodies and some on an Obama rally I attended just before the election. The attitude of the people in attendance was one of worship. I didn't get to see the Great One, but the crowd was far more interesting than he ever will be. I wonder if I was inspired by your tribute to "Kansas" to use the Barry Manilow tune. The people I am close to generally have a 180 degree different view of Obama. "Antichrist" would be one of the few repeatable comments I have heard. Pat Buchanan was right about there being at least two different countries out there.
