On a morning I went to the pet shop
And I looked at all the lovely cats
I picked out one and then went through the process
And I thought that was that

I talked to the former owner for a while
Then adopted it and brought it home
It mewed all night and peed on the floor
I couldn't leave it alone and cried tears for the cat

It liked me when I was petting
And I consoled it as best I could
But then it kept hiding behind my dryer
And in the cabinet

Now inside my couch, it cannot say ouch
But it hid in there many hours
And I didn't know where it was
But I still could hear it purr
So tears for the cat

It looks at me with glowing eyes
And gets into everywhere, everything
Hey that's not pop tarts it's my cat there
So this doesn't seem to be working out
Hey where is the cat

Well morning comes and
Still in sofa
Took a walk 'cause I couldn't find it
And then it resists me
When I finally find it
This won't work out too long

Once it raised its tail but was just that time
Rest of the time it just mostly hid
Guess the place was too large at once
Thought after I returned it
So more tears for the cat
