The Lyrics

Happy Thanksgiving!!!
It’s tough to be a pilgrim
Thanksgiving time I’ve found
That critter is my victim
And this guy is a big ten pound…

Turkey that will soon become our food
In some gravy he will ooze
They’ll dine on my big ten pound
Turkey that I’ll baste with prunes
Eat up guys!

Chased him with a meat cleaver
But that didn’t bring him down
Offered cookies with raisins
But they want my big ten pound…

Turkey that will fill them till they burst
Pumpkin pie for desert
Pilgrims crave my big ten pound
Turkey not some liverwurst

They-they-they’ll polish off their dishes
Then they’ll have another round
Yearly reunited
To dig in my big ten pound…

Turkey that I killed with my bare hands
To meet all their demands
They go nuts for my ten pound
Turkey that makes guts expand

(Instrumental Break)

They don’t care if it is smoked meat
Or deep-fried they’ll chow
If I supply a bird for noshing
They want my big ten pound…

Turkey that their teeth have chewed
But this year they’ll brood
I have bought a big ten pound
Turkey that’s made out of tofu!

Correction (I should really start proof-reading these): "Dig in my big ten pound" should have been "Dig in TO my big ten pound". If/when this gets recorded that will be changed.

Matthias - This parody certainly isn't a "turkey". Great job! ;D

You mentioned this the other day, and I couldn't wait to 'feast' my eyes on it. Yummy!!!

Tofu Turkey? That's just mean! He-he! 555. Never heard this one by Aerosmith before, YouTube had it, a totally different sound than what I expected, in a cool way though! :-)

SquireMatt, I enjoyed your LiverWurst line, . . . count on me to bring homemade cranberry sauce next week, Sir!

I've always wondered about the original song's title. Is the Big Ten inch record more impressive than the Pac-Ten's or Southeastern Conference's inch record?

You know, perhaps we should have this contest voting end on Thanksgiving next year--it seems weird reading Thanksgiving parodies the day after. . .but good job. . .

(Thanksgiving) Reading my "seconds" here, and it's still delicious!

(Holiday-Thanksgiving) You may feast on a ten-pound turkey, but your ditty's worth 555 pounds of laughter!
