The Lyrics

Yep, I'm finally back to writing parodies! For my return, I thought I'd come out rockin'. As the title suggests, I wrote a song parody about the movie Mad Max, starring Mel Gibson. As you may also learn from the song, Max's full name was Max Rockatansky. If you have some doubts as to the pacing, i checked it out, and the chorus matches up good. WARNING: This parody contains spoilers. Unless you've already seen the movie or don't care about stuff being given away, don't read on, otherwise enjoy it. Let's Rock 'n' Roll!
He's workin' for the Main Force Patrol, (1)
He's always ready to rock & roll.
When he's in pursuit of the bad guys,
They always crash, burn, & die.
He's got a real cool car to boot,
You don't wanna mess with this dude, 'cause he's mad,
I said mad!

Mad Max Rockatansky!
Mad Max Rockatansky!
Mad Max Rock-,
Mad Max Rock-,
Mad Max Rockatansky!

When they killed his friend & family, (2)
Then he went & quit the MFP.
Now he's drivin' along on his own,
The Toecutter's gang has been pwned!(3)
And now, he drives on to parts unknown,
Ready to kill some more bad dudes, 'cause he's mad,
I said mad!

Mad Max Rockatansky!
Mad Max Rockatansky!
Mad Max Rock-,
Mad Max Rock-,
Mad Max Rockatansky!

Yeah, he's mad!

(instrumental break)

Max: The chain in those handcuffs is high-tensile steel. It'd take you 10 minutes to hack through it with this. Now, if you're lucky, you could hack through your ankle in 5 minutes. Go.

Johnny the Boy (4): You're mad, man! You think I look silly, don't you!? Ha! Ha! Ha! Don't bring this on me, man! Don't do this to me! Please, sweet Jesus, I was sick! DON'T BRING THIS ON ME, PLEASE!

(KABOOM!)

(end of instrumental break)

Yeah, he's mad.
I said, mad!
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!

Mad Max Rockatansky!
Mad Max Rockatansky!
Mad Max Rock-,
Mad Max Rock-,
Mad Max Rockatansky!

That's right,
Don't mess with him, or he'll run you down!
(Mad Max Rockatansky!)
(Mad Max Rockatansky!)

He's ready to roll!
(Mad Max Rock-, Mad Max Rock-)
He's out for revenge!
(Mad Max Rockatansky!)
Cultural notes:

1-The Main Force Patrol is the police force that Max worked for in the movie.
2-Refers to the death of his fellow MFP officer Jim Goose (played by Steve Bisley)
3-The Toecutter was the leader of a biker gang that wanted revenge for Max killing the Nightrider, one of their members.
4-The Toecutter's protegé

Also, for Cultural Note #2, I forgot to add: "And his wife & kid".

OK, Dylan: So you've got a great OS, and a nice idea for your parody....sometimes the two just don't quite fit together. IMHO, this is one of those cases. I personally would have gone for "Mad Is Max" to AccaDacca's "Back In Black": that would've fit together more comfortably. Still, nice try...544

Hey, someone finally acknowledged that I was back!!!! Yay!! As for my choice of song, I got Mad Max on DVD about a year ago, and it was an awesome movie, so I decided to do a Mad Max parody of some AC/DC song, but didn't know what to use for the OS. After some thought, I decided to use "High Voltage", and I got to work, but it was delayed due to computer issues & other projects, so I was unable to get it rolling until now. And besides, we haven't had a parody of this original song before.
