The Lyrics

If I'd known it was Arwen's birthday, I woulda posted this yesterday!
I'm a Jersey Devil
reading all her songs
in those Rocky Mountains
never can be wrong.

Humor starts racing.
Laughter will not stop.
Will we get to wrestle?
Or will my charms flop?

I want to
Thank you
'cause I know you'll
be nice elf
again!

Thank you
'cause I know you'll
be nice elf
again!

Stiff upper lipping.
Blood starting to race.
Pointy ears can hear it.
Blushing in my face.

Thank you for the party
and I wish I could stay
parodies I got to write
getting in the way.

I want to
Thank you
'cause I know you'll
be nice elf
again!

Thank you
'cause I know you'll
be nice elf
again!

Writes to the music
phony song.
Everyday people
laughter will be long.

Arwen's so happy
boys write songs for her.
Got me still singing
'bout the love that never were.

I want to
Thank you
'cause I know you'll
be nice elf
again!

Thank you
'cause I know you'll
be nice elf
again!

Flaming eyes of bloodshot guys
drunk because of you.
Many men are missing much.
You ain't theirs, it's true.

Thoughts and laughs were made for love
songs we trade and barter, now.
Make it good is real easy.
Make it clean is harder!

Thank you
'cause I know you'll
be nice elf
again!

Thank you
'cause I know you'll
be nice elf
again!

Hey, we're the original performers! Why was the field left blank??

Oh Michael!! This just made my WHOLE day!! I am flattered and tickled that you thought to write this...thank YOU! And don't worry about it not being posted ON my birthday...I mean...logically, you know that people never really stop celebrating my birth...so...this is equally appropriate every day of the year...; ) Thanks again!!!

I was focused on pleasing not the field police but Arwen. And so would you if... wait, Sly's a real nut, better keep him away from the women on this site.

And that, my friends, is why Mr. Pacholek is one of my favorite people ever! Mmmmwah!

As I mentioned on a another parody with the same theme -- the submission rules state: "No parodies about other parody authors." So why was this even allowed? Parodies are supposed to be funny. This isn't even mildly amusing, even if it was written to honor someone's birthday.

All things considered, it's a very merry Un-Birthday Song! :)

Craig, I have to say this. I agree that parodies are meant to be funny. However, when you've spent a certain amount of time on this site, you build a certain bond with the others on the site...and since we all understand what goes into writing a parody...there really isn't a better gift a parody artist could give to another parody artist. I write them for other people all the time. And I will continue doing so. If you feel that they are a waste of your time, then I'm sorry. I'd like to see ANY parody that pleases everyone. I love Michael and I loved this parody...and I encourage anyone and everyone to pay tribute to other authors any time they want to...=)

Craig, I won't be quite as eloquent at Arwen: Bite me.
