Song Parodies -> "Washington D.C."

Original Song Title:

"Kansas City"

Original Performer:

Tiger Joanie Scott

Parody Song Title:

"Washington D.C."

Parody Written by:

Robert D. Arndt Jr.

The Lyrics

I was watching the AMC reality series "Small Town Security" with Joan Koplan and heard that she sang "Kansas City" when she was 14 years old (in the 1960s). I'm assuming this is the same "Kansas City" that originated in 1952 and has been sung by various artists, so that is why her artist name is listed instead of Brenda Lee and the others.
Going to Washington D.C., Washington D.C. here I come, Yeah
Going to Washington D.C. (maybe), after the election’s done
Yeah, gonna sit in the Oval Office chair,
Gonna replace that lyin’ bum

Gonna be the 45th leader,
Make that uphill climb,
Yes I can
Gonna be the 45th leader (Elect me),
I will do just fine
Yes I can
Onward to Washington D.C. 2013
Now that I’ve waited all this time

(Well-) I’m making my gains, trying to explain
How we have been led astray, Obama takes the blame
Going to Washington D.C., Washington D.C. here I come
My run
Yeah, gonna sit in the Oval Office chair,
Gonna replace that lyin’ bum
With a new beginning starting there
Economy-Priority One!

(Well-) I’m making my gains, trying to explain
How we have been led astray, Obama takes the blame
Going to Washington D.C., Washington D.C. here I come
My run
Yeah, gonna sit in the Oval Office chair,
Gonna replace that lyin’ bum
With a new beginning starting there
Economy-Priority One!

I don't vote on the 555 scale, but you just might get my vote for President. Heck, if Ahmedinajad ran against Obama, I'd vote for him.

I see "Newsweak" magazine has Mitt on the cover next to the word "wimp". It's not easy beating an opponent who has the free p.r. and backing of the dominant liberal establishment lamestream media.
