The Lyrics

To start this election year in the USA, I timed my parody of TOS to appear just before the Iowa caucuses on January 3.
He calms the sea; red tape's his key
For less-polluted air.
He faults the fawning wealthy class
And bristles, "Pay fair share";
And wonders why the people
Flee his pearl, ObamaCare:
Five million words are wringing out the flabby.

He's always late for meetings,
But attendees sense his zeal.
He's always late for press briefings,
Except for his New Deal.
I hate to have to say it,
But I very firmly feel,
Obama's hot to pass it to the gabby.

I'd like to say a word in his behalf:
Obama makes me laugh.

How did evolve hobgoblin like Obama?
How did he hatch from proud Chicago town?
How do you find the words that bean Obama?
He's liberal fibber who's thrilling and crisp and brown!

Many a thing you know you'd like to tell him;
Many a thing he ought to understand,
But how do you make him stay
And listen to all you say?
How do you bleep a knave who's in command?

Oh, how do you solve a problem like Obama?
How do you hold back goon team you can't stand?

When I hear him I'm confused,
Out of focus and bemused,
And I never know exactly where he stands.
Unpredictable and chillin',
He casts right wing as the villain.
He's the darling of the Democratic bands!

He'd outwit the canny Mitt,
Drive Newt Gingrich into pit;
He could throw a Rick Santorum to the mat,
Beat Ron Paul with winning smile;
Michele Bachmann he would guile
Or with headfakes, foil Jon Huntsman, diplomat!

How do you solve a problem like Obama?
How do you match his clout and pin him down?
How do you find the sword that cleaves Obama,
That liberal fibber who's willing to twist each noun?

Many a fling you throw you'd like to fell him.
In many rings he's fought to thund'rous hand,
But how do you make him sway
And list and soon fall your way?
How do you deep-six knave who cons the land?

Oh, how do you solve a problem like Obama?
Vote at your polls and soon he will be canned!

PP: Thanks. I omitted Rick Perry; maybe I was thinking "Don't mess with Texas."
