The Lyrics

(Waiting for everyone to gather around the campfire. Holding my flashlight under my chin.) This is my scary Hallowe'en story.... the victim is a recently wed young man who has just returned from a short business trip. I must caution you that the victim of this story endures unspeakable (but, fortunately singable) horrors, from the first line to the last. It may be too disturbing for some of you. But, try to remember, it's only a story. ....or IS IT?!?! Bwahahahahahahahaha!
Sold your toys
Girlie mags your grandpa Roy
Purchased in his youth

I sold your albums
Model kits, unopened
And your tapes of Doctor Who
All your comics, too!

All your posters
And your life size yoda
Made a couple hundred
Oh, off what you'd accrued

Your Shogun Warriors
And your Transformers
Your G.I. Joes
Trekkie costumes, too
Silly maps you drew
Amiga's gone and Commodores
Don't know what you saved 'em for
Not like they were new.

Sold your toys
Figurines of girlie boys
Cleared out so much room!

LOL! The last time we moved, I threw out WM's disco clothes from the 70's. He has a habit of keeping odd momentos like car parts. Hey we might need that stuff someday, Yeah Right!

Thanks Diva, Billy and Johnny D.! Diva.. I hear the Disco look is coming back in (Just Kidding!) I've been trying to overcome my own packrat and "I might need it" tendencies -- I don't save car parts, but I do have a bad habit of saving what you might call house parts. Billy, if I actually parted with so much as one of our Doctor Who items... I'd miss it, too. I'm as big of a Dr. Who geek as my hubby. Johnny D.: Give them back? But then I'd have to give the guy's 50 cents back! ;) Thanks again for the read and rate, y'all!

Ha, ha! Reminds of the episode of Buffy where Spike (the vampire) gets the "Evil Trio" (three nerds) to do his bidding by threatening their Boba Phett (I think) action figure--Man, are them nerds lame or wha--Heey, why is everyone looking at me like that? Uuum...nerds are *cool*.....great song; gotta go.

All those 1973 baseball cards that my mother STILL claims she never threw out... Despite you bringing that memory back to the surface, I gave this one all fives. Hank Aaron, before he broke the record, I had the card, and she threw it out!

This is indeed nightmarish. (But in a good way.) Take it from someone who still bemoans the loss of his Dynamite magazines.

Thanks Spaff! (You had those, too? Hate to admit it, but I sold mine, on my own, when I was in my teens.)
