"Almost Doomsday"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

We’ll be blown away… By hefty bombs
The zombies will gang up (Here to Guam)
I’m in such a fright
We're eaten by dust mites
Acid Snow
Will fall, I know!

We’ll die, When it’s Doomsday!
Nostradamus says it’s true
We’ll be strangled by chimpanzees
Bid this world adieu

Depression comes when we get plagues of fleas
We’ll get flues and abnormal gum disease
There’ll be floods of rain
And out of the sky crash planes
Our lives are lost
Don’t need to floss

God Damn, Freaking Doomsday!
It’s proclaimed that we are screwed
If we live enough to tape it
There will be a News Crew

Gather up dry food and hide away
Killer bees are here and we must spray
Lakes are full of slime
Icebergs steam
The only jobs are mimes
It’s such a crime!

“Bullsh*t, There’s no Doomsday”
Frank has claimed, well, shame on you
Tune will change when you are decayed
Should have listened to you!

I lied there’s no Doomsday
From some hobo heard the news
Asked for change and said change your ways
The end is coming too soon!

This comes after the economic doomsday, but while we're waiting, 555 for you.

Frank is a general nonebeliever. There always has to be one bad apple going against the grain of the Doomsday cult.

(Ages) Well, as Timmy1000 said, since the economy's gone down the toilet the rest of the world can't be too far behind. It's like the whole world has attached various parts of itself together with string - one down, all down! Okay, I'm getting of the track now, I better just vote 555 and be on my way.

AGES...nice work on this, Matty. I had some issues with a couple of internal rhymes, but overall pacing was great, and this was a fun read. =)

You set the tone well, Matty. I liked the ending ! Chicken Little says, "5s for you"

(Ages) Sorry Matty, but I got lost here with the rhyming and as a result got lost in the pacing. . .sorry buddy.

Good subject, some good laughs at first, but got a little "duddish" in the end. Say, what rhymes with "Doomsday"? 5-4-4.

(Ages) This reminded me of a video game gone horribly wrong, like Fallout of the one they made a bunch of movies about (I'm totally drawing a blank, sorry! I'll post it when I remember). It worked for me.

Jeff: Resident Evil?

Started strong, but had some trouble towards the end for me. I like your original idea, and your use of this song for it.

Matthias...yup, that was it! I was just getting on to write it :)
