Your browser rises on the screen
With Trojans, viruses, and... sleaze!
The porno-popups grab your eyes
All from the hacker who is... me!

While sleeping hours take you far
From surfing there and surfing... here!
I'll sprout new problems like a rat
My code will be a hell you'll... fear!

My reasons may seem lame
But there's no-one I can't flame!
And there's nowhere you can go
To escape my ruthless code... so you're history!

The sound,
You will hear when you log on:
Youuurrrr maaa-chine,
Must now host Java beans!
Youuurrrr maaa-chine's,
A thrall I'll never free!
Ahhhh-ahhhh-HAAAA !!

It's such a rainy afternoon
No point in going anywhere
I'll pound my keyboard in the gloom
And whip up something I will... share!

It's such a rainy afternoon
You'll sit and gaze upon your... Windows!
Your screen turns blue before your face
The screaming deep inside you... grows!

I'm seeking hacker fame
So there's no-one I won't flame!
And so you'll be out of luck
When you cry out WTF... at your empty screen!

The sound,
You will hear when you log on:
Youuurrrr maaa-chine,
Is now a slave to me!
Youuurrrr maaa-chine's,
Where viruses now breed!
The sound,
You will hear when you log on:
Youuurrrr maaa-chine,
Must now host Java beans!
Youuurrrr maaa-chine's,
A thrall I'll never free!
Ahhhh-ahhhh-HAAAA !!

Definition of a hacker: http://www.catb.org/~esr/jargon/html/H/hacker.html Definition of a *cracker*: http://www.catb.org/~esr/jargon/html/C/cracker.html - this is what you're going for.

Thanks neminem - I claim poetic license, since "hacker" is by far a more widely-known term in the non-geek community (speaking as a geek myself).

Calling all Moody Blues fans...... "I Know You're Out There Somewhere" ........ ( Adagio this means YOU heh heh heh )
Adagio - January 23, 2004 - Report this comment
Ok...trusting you, Johnny. (Did I say that?) I know that you really pace well, and you must know the PC stuff, even though I don't (too much), so...5's

Thanks, Adagio! That free audio sample at the top of this parody-page is a good-quality portion of the original tune "The Actor", too.

.....now.....I know Mari Aranoff Duncan knows some Moody Blues material.....oh Mari D, where are ye.....?

Yeah, that's fine. Just wanted to make sure you knew... calling a song "The Cracker" would attract entirely the wrong crowd, anyway ;-).

Thanks neminem. ;-)

Good job, Johnny!

Thank you, Jack.

Okay, I admit it. I can't recall that song, and that made it hard to comment on it. Other than that, I like the words. They do have a Moody Blues feel to them.

That's OK, Mari D, thanks for stopping by. I bet you know "Visions Of Paradise".
Mari D - March 07, 2004 - Report this comment
Oh jeez! Of course! Now I realize that I DO know this song AND "Visions of Paradise" (nice flute part on it) and why I blocked them out at first. I lost my virginity to Side 2 of "In Search of the Lost Chord"! Oh yeah, I like your parody!

Gee, I lost mine to Peter Frampton's "I'm In You"

Johnny, would you believe that I don't remember? Yeah, great album! Hey, it was my first time, my then-boyfriend had the turntable on "replay," I was nervous, it took a while to chill out... but I do remember thinking "Gee, there's 'Voices in the Sky' again!"

Thanks Mari - that's a neat story!
