The Lyrics

A Dump Song
She's leaving Tom
Tom - go away I'm divorcing you
Yeah, Tom - get a life 'cause I'm leaving you
Bye bye
Bye bye, loser
So - you're a big millionare
But - you're just in my hair
You're cute with your looks and your smile, but you're cramping my style.

Tom, get a clue
'Cause we are through
It's not my age
Or I'm taller than you.
Don't go 'way mad
Just go away
Don't take offence
Tomorrow's another day.
Aloha oe

Tom - crawl away into your fortress
No we can't change religions - it's too much stress
Before you say
I'm capricious
There's hundreds of more
Hot women for you
And - Scientologists, too
So, I can take Suri with me and get full custody.
Nyah, nyah!
Tom - go away you're no good for me
You're married to Scientology.

At first I thought this was a generic break-up song, but then I got to the Scientology part. Nice job. Liked the "I'm taller than you" line best.

Thanks, Mariadoc - the OS seeems like a hint the he just doesn't want the girl. Made me think of Katie dumping Tom.

Katie got a couch jump up on Tom

Any anti-Cruise parody is a winner with me. Aside: my brother had the pleasure of bumping into Tom and Nicole in the course of doing his (my brother's) job. The way he tells me the story, talking to one of the them was a pleasure, and that one was not Tom. 3 5s for you and 3 0s for Tommy.

Thanks, AFW and Peregrin.. I shouldn't take sides but this marriage seemed doomed from the start. It didn't seem just coincidental that TomKat made their affair known at the same time Brad Pitt dumped JA for the Big A and had a baby at the same time.

Nice work. Such a great song wasted on such a crap religion. 'Dawn's' one of my all-time 4S favorites. Might try one myself before long, look out for it.

Thanks, Lifeliver - excuse if I don't share your POV, but I thought that song was stoopid! It was such a twisted sense of value because any girl with any character wouldn't marry just for money. Besides I think the guy didn't think much of Dawn - he was still in love with "Cherry Baby".

I like the early-60s 4 Seasons for their production values and arrangements, and that killer Frankie V falsetto in its prime. But all their lyrics were pop pap. I think you mean 'Sherry'. Wasn't 'Cherry Baby' a Neil Diamond song?
Meriadoc - October 08, 2012 - Report this comment
@LL: Cherry Cherry was a Neil Diamond song. Cherry Oh Baby was a Rolling Stones Song. ;)

Right you are, Merry. I like all three. Come to think of it, several of those Four Seasons hits had girls' names. There was Marlena, Ronnie and Marianne, not to mention the unnamed Candy Girl and Rag Doll. Promiscuous weren't they?
