I'm torn, Bradford. The idea is that Sanjaya winning is pissing Simon off. The rumor going around is that, if Sanjaya wins, Simon won't come back for the next season. Simon is evil. And, in the words of the 42nd 1/2 President of the United States, Al Gore, "It is time for him to GO!" Dylan: If Sanjaya ever enters politics, the country in which he does might just be doomed. But if you DKTOS, then it's time for a Remedial Music History class. Either that, or an intervention. Hell, even my evil twin brother Bernard knows this song!

I say MKTOS because I've heard this song on the radio which I believe to be the OS, but am not sure. Is this the one where it opens with an organ playing or something like that?

I figured. Then again, I hear a bunch of songs on the radio that I've heard before, but I can't name them or the band that sings those songs. For example; there's this one classic rock song, possibly 60's or 70's; that opens with a low-key guitar. A few seconds after, the drum beat begins. The guitar is mostly low-key for this song, except for the chorus, where it gets louder. This song sounds like some song form a James Bond movie. Does anyone have any idea which song I'm referring to?

I know this is months after the fact but...I ran across this, and couldn't help commenting. You know, I love Jim Morrison. He wasn't a great singer. He didn't have an especially strong voice or great vocal range. In fact, in some performances, his vocals are so nearly off-key it's painful to hear. But what he DID have was charisma, loads and loads of it...a great peformer, and the ability to comman an audience. And of course, those great lyrics. He wasn't a great singer, but a great writer with the ability to write songs suited for him. Which brings us to Sanjaya. Maybe he wasn't as "polished" as some of the other singers in the competition. But what he DOES have is a uniquely recognizable, commercial voice, charisma, and chutzpa. He was obviously a "hit" with audiences during the Idol tour. Probably not the writer Jim Morrison was (who is?) but if he hooks up with the right songwriters, picks the right songs for his voice, he could be a commercial success. He's a likeable kid with a good voice that could be great in time. C'mon, people, stop with the "can't sing" crap. If Jim Morrison, Bob Dylan, Mick Jagger and Rod Stewart can make it in this business, so can Sanjaya, and his voice is actually superior to theirs'. Talented? He can dance, he can sing, and is a stunning photographer. Speaking of which,just how do you measure what IS talent, anyway? Being able to sing is only one; Sanjaya, from what I've seen, has many).
