Song Parodies -> "Cauliflower"

Original Song Title:

"And I Love Her"

Original Performer:

The Beatles

Parody Song Title:

"Cauliflower"

Parody Written by:

Alvin Rhodes

The Lyrics

i've had it with this stuff
i swear its true
cause if you ate that stuff
you'd hate it too
cauliflower

this is a horrid thing
unsavory
my stomach's gurgling
tastes bad to me
cauliflower

its tough and sour
i'll pass it by
a food that i...
don't want near me

on veggies i will dine
give them a try
peas, corn and beans are fine
but this won't fly
cauliflower

if asked, i will decline
i'll tell you why
this slop ain't fit for swine
and that's no lie
cauliflower

I like cauliflower, and I like this parody, too. As Mike Meyers' "Dieter" would say, "Delicious". 555

When I came on this site, the second thing I did was post all my Children, my Beatle parodies. I'm very protective of them. I don't mind all the other people also doing the Beatles, because I tell myself that of course, they aren't as pretty as MY kids. But I'm starting to get a little miffed at YOU. Your rugrats are getting too good looking. Still waiting for that bio, so I can check out the competition.

i sent the bio in, but it has not appeared as yet...maybe i need to do it again..as far as my beatles qualifications, let me lay them on you...i actually saw the famous ed sullivan broadcast...i was 8 years old.. it was soon after that, i applied to become a member of their fan club...i only wish i had kept all that beatle stuff i had as a kid... the wig, the trading cards...the "flip your wig" game...oh, and i used the wig to be paul mccartney for halloween in 1965...he was my fave back then, but i wised up later and drifted towards john

That tells me how old you are. I was 11 for Ed Sullivan. My wife Mari saw the Beatles in '65 at the Hollywood Bowl. Still has the ticket stub. If you're into triva, I'll start you off with a trick question. Who plays bass on "I Will"?

To me cauliflower doesn't have any taste. But this song does. 5's

I said it was a trick question. No one. Paul SANG it. Listen close. He's going "Doop-doop-doop".....Here's an easier one. Who played the solo on "In My Life" and what instrument is it?
alvin rhodes - May 30, 2004 - Report this comment
well, its a harpsichord...again i don't know who did it...it sounded a little too good to be paul......lurch ?
Rick D - May 30, 2004 - Report this comment
It SOUNDS like a harpsichord. But it was a little too fast for George Martin, who wrote it and played it, so he slowed the track down. It's a sped-up piano. George Martin played on or arranged so many songs, that he is to me, the "Fifth Beatle".

well, ya got me again...

Okay, try this one. John Lennon claimed he was the first person to use intentional guitar amp feedback in a song. What song?

Alvin, unlike cauliflower this is tasty stuff. 5's. Rick - uhh...I think it's time to turn him over, you've been grilling with some pretty high heat so far. Tough questions. I haven't known any of the answers. P.S. - I was 15 when they appeared on Ed Sullivan. I still remember watching it - it was a memorable night for many reasons - not only did I get to see the Beatles on Ed Sullivan. I got to watch it while using my Dad's electric bed. See, this was the first night he spent away from home shacked up with his eventual second wife. He had been separated from my Mom about a year and a half and I guess he and Rennae (the eventual 2nd wife) decided it was time to stop acting like sitcom characters and get real. So about 5 o'clock that day he told me he was going to spend the night out there. If he was expecting some disapproval or disappointment from me he was in for a surprise. "Cool", I said, cause It sounded sexy to me. "Then I can I use your bed instead of mine? I want to see the Beatles, they're going to be on The Ed Sullivan Show tonight!" "OK, but make sure you go to sleep right after it's over". "Sure, Dad". Yeah, right...my innocent little 15-year old brain was way too overloaded with excitement from the events of that evening. Why, I think I even stayed up through the "Johnny Carson" show that night.
